Name of wine: Bay Bridge
Varietal: Merlot
Region: California
Country: United States
Year: 2020
Price: $3.99
Shop/wine critic review:
"Dark ruby color. Aromas of sweet gum tree, raspberry jam, sugar cane, and red bell pepper with a satiny, vibrant, fruity medium body and a smooth, medium-length toast and baking spices finish with drying tannins and moderate oak flavor. A solid Merlot pleaser for weeknight pairing. (https://www.tastings.com/Wine-Review/Bay-Bridge-Vineyards-NV-Merlot-California-USA-10-15-2020.aspx)"
References of specific flavors: SWEET CHERRY, SUGAR PLUM, BAKING CHOCOLATE, VANILLA, DESERT DUST
Your review: This red wine was okay for its price. You can definitely taste the underlying black fruit aromas. It came off as very dry and did not come off with much of a taste. I would have been interested if the wine tasted any different with any sort of food or cheese.

Wine #2

Photo holding the wine bottle showing:
Name of wine: 19 Crimes
Varietal: Petite Sirah, Zinfandel, Merlot
Region: California
Country: United States
Year: 2021
Price: $10.99
Shop/wine critic review:
"The wine was quite aromatic, with a decent medium intensity that was even bolder up close. I noted combo aromas of red fruits and secondary, sweet spice notes. (https://www.honestwinereviews.com/snoop-dogg-19-crimes-cali-red-review)
Reference of specific flavors: SUGARPLUM, BLUEBERRY, DARK CHOCOLATE, BLACK PEPPER, HERBS
Your review: This red wine is really good. The aromas are really spicy with a strong scent of alcohol with a smell. I like the taste of dark cherry and raspberry. It has an initial light sweet taste then transitions to much drier.
