Name of wine: Principe Verdejo Frizzante

Varietal: Verdejo

Region: Castilla

Country: Spain

Year2022

Price: $9.99

Shop/wine critic review: "The Prince Azul Frizzante Verdejo wine, as its name suggests, is a blue wine, made with partially fermented Verdejo grapes. But really it is a blue wine. In most cases the blue wine is a white wine, colored with a natural substance, called anthocyanins. It can also be obtained if you add a chemical called indigocinThis substance anthocyanin, is found in the skins of red grapes and in some fruits such as blackberries, plums or blueberries. Blue wines can also be obtained from rosé wines, or red wines, although it is normal to obtain white wines, usually dry (https://www.kroger.com/p/pinetti-notte-primitivo/0083972800434.)"

References of specific flavors: LIME, HONEYDEW, GRAPEFRUIT PITH, FENNEL, WHITE PEACH

Your review: I like this white wine. It is different and the initial smell is not the same as the taste. It is very citrussy and highly acidic with very low alcohol content. It does have a good apple aftertaste and tastes like a bomb pop or jolly rancher.

Name of wine: Pinetti Notte

Varietal: Zinfandel

Region: Puglia

Country: Italy

Year: 2021

Price: $5.99

Shop/wine critic review: "A tribute to modern Italian style and its chic sophistication, Pinetti Notte celebrates la dolce vita with wine sure to pique your palate. This wine embraces time-honored traditional winemaking and a refined flair for style. Relish in a Pinetti evening of casual elegance by sipping wine, laughing, and enjoying close friends and family in the Italian way. This quintessential Zinfandel exhibits a velvety richness and depth of flavor. Earthy aromas reveal bright cherry and blackberry with a subtle hint of white pepper. It makes the perfect addition to Italian pasta dishes or a hearty grilled steak. (https://www.kroger.com/p/pinetti-notte-primitivo/0083972800434.)"

References of specific flavors: STRAWBERRY, LEATHER, CANDIED CURRANT

Your review: This red wine from Italy is too bad for its price. Unlike many wines I have tasted, it had a different taste every time I tasted it. It is not very dry for the high alcohol content. The most consistent aroma I always found was strawberry.
